Middle School Overview
Bannockbrun Christian Academy (BCA) Preparatory Middle School program offers robust, hands-on courses that provide student exploration guided by Christian adults. Teachers and staff work together to create developmentally appropriate experiences that build leadership, strengthen relationships, and grow Christian character. Utilizing a modified block schedule, BCA Preparatory Middle School offers Advisory/Study Hall for every student. A major objective of BCA Preparatory Middle School is to enable students to work independently, take responsibility for their learning and actions, and recognize the importance of service to others.
At BCA Preparatory Middle School, students are encouraged to strive for academic excellence, personal success, and self-discipline. Students are provided opportunities for real-world problem-solving utilizing higher-order thinking skills. The solid academic foundation of the BCA Preparatory Middle School builds student mastery of core knowledge and lays the groundwork for success in high school and beyond.
The BCA Preparatory Middle School provides quality education for 5th through 8th grade students. BCA students are challenged to use their time, abilities, and talents well. Every student is encouraged to soar with excellence at BCA Preparatory Middle School.
Highlights (Grades 5th – 8th)
- All courses are taught by content-area experts who know and value each student.
- Sound instructional practices are presented through a Biblical worldview.
- As students move from 5th through 8th grades they receive more targeted instruction and will be ready to complete High School courses. (Algebra, Foreign Language, Communication Applications, Health, and Keyboarding)
- A modified Block Schedule fully utilizes instruction time and enrichment activities. (A/B with compressed schedule; Sample schedule included.)

AM's advanced technology helps classroom teachers provide essential math practice components above and beyond your child's math curriculum. This software:
Creates math assignments tailored to each student's current level. Automatically scores all math practice, including assignments and tests. Provides ongoing feedback on students' daily practice. Helps you differentiate math instruction, addressing each student's individual needs.

Rosetta Stone
Bannockburn Christian Academy is excited to offer Rosetta Stone for our middle school students. Rosetta Stone is a total immersion program where your student will have the opportunity to listen, speak, read and write in a foreign language of their choosing for 45 minutes. Students will focus on one of the following foreign languages - Spanish, Mandarin Chinese, Latin, and French. Students in the 7th and 8th grades will have the opportunity to earn High School credit.
